Join Fresno Pacific University for an in-person information meeting to learn more about our Summer Literacy Institute. Designed for K–8 educators, this unique opportunity allows you to complete a full graduate-level course while exploring best practices in literacy for today’s schools. You’ll gain insight into the course structure, schedule options and how this experience can support your professional growth.

Why Attend the Summer Literacy Institute?

• High-impact literacy learning: Explore the reading process, foundational literacy and the art and science of teaching literacy. Learn how to effectively support developing readers and writers while differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Graduate-level coursework at an accessible cost: Complete a 3-unit graduate course for $500. Earn units while previewing a master’s program before making a longer-term commitment.
• Collaborative cohort experience: Learn alongside fellow K–8 teachers in a supportive cohort model as you develop your classroom into a community of readers, writers and inquirers.
• Flexible summer scheduling: Choose from two convenient course formats in June, including a blended option with on-campus Saturdays and synchronous Zoom sessions, or a weekday, in-person, daytime intensive format.
